Warranty, Returns, and Refunds – CyberTrek

Warranty

All Meta Quest headsets sold by CyberTrek are special imports (parallel imports) and come with a direct warranty from CyberTrek:

  • 1-year warranty on the headset.

  • 6-month warranty on controllers.

Many items we sell are imported from overseas. If there is a local South African distributor, they are not obligated to provide warranty support. All warranty services for imported items are handled directly by CyberTrek.


  • There is no warranty on silicon covers, batteries, cables, cases, or any other consumable accessories, including various types of headstraps.

  • For products with an international manufacturer's warranty, we will assist, but you are responsible for all shipping costs to and from the manufacturer.

Important: We do not provide a warranty on cables of any kind. Toys are covered with a “working out of the box” warranty only.



Returns, Cancellations, and Repairs

  • You may return standard items within 7 days of delivery if they are unopened and in original packaging.

  • restocking and handling fee of 15% will be deducted from refunds for returns within this period.

  •  Items returned after 7 days and up to 30 days may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Items that have been opened, used, or damaged by the customer will not be accepted for return.

    When a product is returned as faulty, it will be checked to establish if the fault is due to a manufacturing issue or accidental or improper use. Every item is photographed and its serial number recorded before it leaves our warehouse to ensure returned products match our original records.

Important for imported items:

  • Returned products may need to be sent back to the international supplier.

  • Nearly all products are sourced from overseas vendors.

  • Shipping costs to the international supplier are deducted from your refund.

  • Special requests or customized orders are reviewed case-by-case for refunds.

  • As per the ECA Act 2002, Chapter VII, Section 43(4)(b), shipping costs—including import and return fees—are non-refundable.

Data Disclaimer:

  • We do not back up or save any software or data on items sent for repair. Please ensure all software, documents, and files are backed up before sending items. CyberTrek is not responsible for data loss.


Refunds

  • Full refunds are offered for items not in stock or unavailable for immediate dispatch.

  • If a product arrives faulty out of the box or has a manufacturing defect within 7 days, we will arrange a refund or exchange.

  • Refunds due to customs delays, shipping issues, or unforeseen circumstances are not provided.

  • Refunds for items returned due to buyer’s remorse or mistakes are issued as store credit, less applicable restocking fees (up to 15%).

  • Refunds requiring return to the origin supplier may take up to 4 weeks to process.

Condition for returns:

  • All returned items must be in original packaging and unused condition.


Damaged Delivery

  • If a package arrives damaged, you may refuse delivery at no cost.

  • Contact CyberTrek immediately if damage occurs.

  • Take photos of the box and contents, if possible.

  • Do not sign the courier waybill if the package appears damaged.
